lyrics

>>>Left Center Channel<<<
In the night,
Someone starts to yell, a nasty fight
In the night.
In the night,
The moon shines a beautiful tin silver light
In the night.
In the night,
Someone screams in the dark with fright
In the night.
In the night,
A coyote howls and then treks near a lanterns yellow light
In the night.

After his boat had ceased being buffeted on the sea of thought, a mast was broken, and equipment in disarray around the quarters below. And with only one man left on the ship after the rest had jumped overboard, it took him a while to put everything back, and even then it was not the same, some of the food was in the wrong cabinet, and pillows at the foot of the bed instead of the head. By the time the ship had a relative sense of order restored to it, night had fallen upon the silent waters, now smooth as a mirror. And so life resumed in the same way it had before the wind became insubordinate with itself, the only thing missing now was himself.

Nobody spoke to the captain during the first leg of the journey, and now, he was alone. His crew gone and his ship nearly unrecognizable, the man sat on the deck, pondering over everything that had just happened and how to keep going despite the problems that had just revealed themselves to him. Once that was figured out, he spotted a glimmer of light on the horizon, whose glow held strong through the stone-cold midnight blue of the night and persevered into the cautious red twilight of morning. Drawn to it as if a moth to candlelight, his ship made its way towards the horizon as the influence of that light grew more and more. Very soon, one light split into two, and two into four, as an island formed behind the lights giving them shape. Now, no longer just lights, an entire village had emerged. Although no sound could be heard in that direction, twilight started to fade into oblivion, an almost infinite gray, as the sun arose.

Although, left alone again, this time changed again and greeted at first with a hearty, “Ahoy!” and then soon after, with inquiries about his voyage and his place of origin. The captain had found refuge in a small fishing village on the tip of a peninsula. While relatively isolated from the inland, it was the first step to returning, unsure of where he was, he didn’t have the slightest care in the world. His only focus now was that he had found something, something to latch onto, something to help rebuild what he had lost, and somewhere to start over...
